If there is one single trait that defines humanity, it is creativity. Plain and simple.
Ever since I can remember I’ve always loved thinking about new ideas. Dreaming up new worlds or questioning why things were the way they were. Thinking about how we could do something different, something new, something fun. Creativity is the human spirit, the wonderment that comes with believing anything is possible.
I’m afraid as more of my life turns from possibility into history, I’ll begin to lose that sense of creativity. The desire to imagine, build, and wonder will ever so slowly twist into logic, routine, and monotony. These are the scary thoughts that cloud in when the days bleed into one other and I stop taking time to look up, breathe, and smile.
I want to keep creating, imagining, and being inspired by the creations of others. And I never want to stop being excited for tomorrow.
